TURN INS
SO I THINK I MIGHT HAVE FOUND SOMETHING!
Nice. If your character is doing a little more than your average snooping, drop a link into this post! You also have the choice of PMing the details/links to me if you'd like, but this is a good way to keep everything in one place.
It doesn't matter what log, what day—if your character is exploring, let me know! I'll drop something into the thread for you, or respond to your comment with it if it seems like it'd be easier that way. These findings can range from tiny little items to large plot clues and cool weapons.
NOTE: I should clarify that very little needs my permission! All plot triggers can be avoided without losing them forever, so if you don't turn in something that would have given you one, it's fine! It's not gone forever, and they can be moved around to fit the plot without making everything too easy.
Mostly what I'm here for with exploring and settings-based stuff is feeding you all the information! It breaks down like this: if your actions affect other players, such as letting zombies into the compound or blowing up a place that might have other characters in it, permission/a heads up is good. If it's closed off to just you or a few others who have okayed it, you likely won't need permission. If it's like GOING TO RUSSIA WITH MY BFF AND BREAKING INTO A VIPER VAULT then all you need from me is the information in the vault, et cetra.
The only restrictions are on certain places and things, which will all be detailed in relevant posts—such as the radios! Anything else is free game.
Good luck hunting!

In one hospital is a very recent document admitting 'Penny Alexander' with a birthdate of... ##/##/####???? Hm. Anyway! There's nothing telling on the document apart from that she was admitted into the hospital on July 2nd, 2015.
The second thing they can find is a jacket covered in very blood. It might be possible to tell that the blood has only been there a day at the most... whoops!
The exact locations for these are all up to you!

steph will be super excited ("excited") about the jacket!

(I can do a more prose-y tag on the thread if that'd be better, too!)

...And it will type back. And prompt you to give it a name, and then to name yourself. Think very basic Siri—it won't give you any information on the general game plot right now, but you can "train" it by typing to it, giving it other functions after awhile (an example is personal logs, timers, eventual hacking abilities). You can also decide the personality!
This tablet—as well as a few others I gave out—can eventually link up to plot related places, which will likely be available in a few OOC months time. The tablet may eventually mention that it needs to be plugged into "Maine" but aside from that, have fun!
(Ask it the plot of Inception, it might respond like Siri does...)
I hope this all makes sense! I apparently lost my notes on the AI tablets so I'm just rewriting from memory.

thank you in advance!

As for scavenging, you can find some toiletries and blankets, and maybe a few unnecessary panels of steel from the inside of the tower.

Also you are doing a great job with this place, it's way fun so far.

For the most part, the terrain's design is up to you. Want to come across a town? Go for it. The setting is California, so whatever can sort of fit into that sort of area can be found! (Like, you're probably not going to find an elephant... unless someone released it from a nearby zoo before it died, etc)
However, if they get a fair distance from the compound (~20 miles or so) they can find a clearly recent campsite. There's nothing left except for a still smoking fire and a few scuff marks where someone slept. Unfortunately, whoever was there seems to be missing, even if you wait or go looking for them...

They won't mess anything up, but do you remember the speakers in the train that went off wen everyone first arrived? Well, they will repeat the same message they played once more. Since there's a few NPCs floating around, the two of them are welcome to recognise the voice as this guy, since the recording will likely be easier to hear... until zombies rain on their parade, or something.
Apart from that, they can find a small, charred (from the crash) paper with a bunch of gibberish written on it. It's actually a language, but not one found on Earth!

THIS IS OOC INFORMATION ONLY: There are six pieces of the password written down and strewn across the world. The hint about "six" was given to Thomas and you can find his information here. This is still available to found out because he wrote this! Granted, it's not 100% ICly known for sure that the six is a password, but if you go talk to one of the resident NPCs (Roy and the young girl! They're bumming around) both of them will tell you "it's possible it's a password thing, they liked their cryptic and annoying stuff."
The passwords are given out randomly in acceptances through coordinates—there may be a few that do not lead to passwords, but all six have been given out and in the case of drops before they're turned in, will be given out again later on!
...Which is something I've been considering for AC rewards, and was thinking about making a post about it before I handed out rewards this month.
IC INFORMATION: Two of the passwords have been found! 11112011 was found by multiple characters in Portland. It may not have related characters still in the game, so if the information isn't public we can say one of the NPCs found an extra copy, just so they're not lost forever! The second piece was found by Stephanie Brown and Ellie near Disneyland, so any IC information about it is something under their control. Putting them into the computer doesn't do much because they're not full passwords.
WHAT JIM CAN DEFINITELY FIND... is after an hour of messing with the computers, a mechanical voice will tell him to let him sleep, then become unresponsive.
